Kids participate in high energy worship, live storytelling, and age-appropriate, relational small groups. We believe that an authentic relationship with Jesus can begin by inviting kids into authentic relationships with caring and consistent leaders and their peers.

 Partnering with Parents

The family unit and parental involvement play a vital role in a child’s journey to faith and spiritual development. Emphasis and priority must be placed on a synergistic relationship between families and Resurrection Church, in efforts to equip them to nurture the spiritual formation of their children.

RezKids FAQ’s

  • Toddlers — All four Sundays of the month 1st and 2nd service

  • Preschool — All four Sundays of the month 1st and 2nd service

  • K5-5th Grade — Second and third Sundays of the month 1st service

+ How do I check my child in?

  • If you are visiting Resurrection Church for the first time, stop by the RezKids welcome desk in the RezKids lobby. There, a RezKids team member will assist you with checking your child into an age-appropriate class and direct you to that classroom.

  • Your child will receive a sticker with his or her name on it. Your child will wear the sticker.

  • You will receive a coordinating check-out slip that you will need in order to pick your child up.

  • Once your child is in our computer system, check-in can be completed at any of our kiosk in the RezKids Lobby, and you can take your child to his or her classroom.

+ Do I need to check my child out after service?

  • Yes, please present the check-out slip you received during check-in to the team member at the door of the classroom.

  • You must have this check-out slip to receive your child. This policy ensure the highest safety the children in or care.

+ What if I lose my check-out slip?

  • You will need to show identification to a Rez Staff member to pick up your child. Again, this is to ensure the highest level of safety for all children and families in our care.

+ What if I need to be contacted during the service about an issue?

  • Each child’s name tag will have your phone number printed on it. If there is an issue, we will attempt to text you first.

  • Each family is assigned a 3-4 digit code at check-in. If we are unable to reach you via text, we will put your families code onto the screen in the service.

  • If we contact you, or you see your families code on the screen, please report to the RezKids lobby.

+ What are 5th Sunday Fun Day Services?

  • One of our missions at Resurrection Church and in RezKids is to partner with you, the parent, and journey alongside you to help equip you to disciple your children as God has called you.
  • We put a priority on creating a synergistic relationship between parents and Resurrection Church.
  • One way we do this is to set aside the 5th Sundays of each year where all generations gather in service together to worship in song and the Word. These services have an emphasis on children and are conducted in a way that children can understand the importance of gathering as the Church and learning God’s Word. Nursery and Toddler rooms will be open based on availability of RezKids Team Members able to serve, but will not be guaranteed.

+ Why do you not offer classes for K5-5th grade both services every Sunday?

  • There are two simple answers:

  • It takes a multitude of team members to ensure RezKids Childrens Ministry is run well. We have opened classes as soon as we have the team members available to ensure safety and effectiveness in our classrooms.

  • We value quality over quantity. It is important in Rezkids to offer quality teaching and learning environments for both our kiddos and the team members. We do not wish to sacrifice this quality to open class times with risk of reduced effectiveness and the best environment, including safety.

+ Are there opportunities for me to serve in RezKids?

  • Absolutely! We are always happy to grow our RezKids team. See below for more information on serving.

 How to Serve in Rezkids

We have a fantastic RezKids Team! Here is how to become a RezKids Team Member:

1. Resurrection Church offers an incredible class called Discover Rez.

This class not only identifies who we are as a church, but offers teaching on Spiritual Gifts and how to best

utilize those gifts in the local church. Walking through this class is the first step in serving

anywhere at Rez.

2. After you complete Discover Rez you will be ready for RezKids Team Member Orientation!

• This is a time of learning our vision, mission and areas available to serve in. This orientation

is short and sweet at 30 minutes in between services on a Sunday.

• In the meantime, please take a moment to complete this form so we can get to know you

and your serving desires.
