Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom,singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God” (Colossians 3:16-17).
Our prayer for worship through song at Resurrection Church is that we will be a people who worship in Spirit and Truth.
Jesus says to the woman at the well, “But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth” (John 4:23-24).
As the church scatters throughout the week we want to dwell richly in the word of Christ so that while we gather we are spiritually equipped to teach and admonish each other in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in our hearts to God.
Our worship team models dwelling in the word of Christ every Thursday night at rehearsal by walking through the Psalms together and praying together.
